Mezuzah's Galore - Adam

Hi David,

Not managed to get my brief done yet and won't be able to until the weekend after this but I snapped these photos in Golders Green today

Holy Choice!
1/60, f2.8, ISO 400

Mezuzahopoly
1/100, f2.8, ISO 800

The second image won't suit everyones tastes and can be described as busy but other individuals like an image with detail to pick out and see new areas of the image each time they look at it. How do you take yours? Prize for anyone that can find Wally ;o)

  1. Amazing! These are great Adam. Good to know that you are on the ball photographically. The best shots (ever in my view) have been those from opportunity.

Well done! I ask for one and get 100. I like it!

  3. "Papanagus" sounds better :)

Working late at the moment as I have a lot of work on. Email me when you are back in Leeds and I'll pop over if you want to make me a coffee.

Can chat about the Focus exhibition too. Looking at evening of 11th September 6.30 till 8.00pm.

    David

  4. Loving the pictures there's one in the basket on the left that's kind of similar to the one I'm thinking of making in the second photo.

Do you know if they sell proper kosher parchments for them there because I will need one when I do get round to making it, I've not yet looked into where to get them yet otherwise though

  5. @Plewi

@David good coffee is something we are never short of in our house. :o)

@Paul yes they sell the parchment but I got mine in Manchester. I think it was about £40 a parchment in Manchester. Not sure if the bookshops in the Leeds shuls sell it though but worth a punt but they are only open 11-13:00 Sunday's

I wont be back in N London for a couple of weeks now.

  6. 40 quid ouch, what's the thoughts on donating a parchment-less mezzuzah for the 150 years exhibition, seems a bit wrong being empty.

  7. Paul, mention it to Makor. They may make a contribution for such a kind gift from you. We should ask Philippa Lester who has some lottery funds for the 150 years work. As you so rightly say " seems a bit wrong being empty"

Going to bed now. Night night. (Time 00:55)

  8. Sounds like an idea, I wonder if there are any Leeds based scribes that would make one specially.

Anyway sleep well and see you Sunday.

  9. I asked at eytz chayim book shop and they said they get them from Manchester. I don't think there is a sofa in Leeds

  11. Have you contacted JC David? Johnathan seemed keen to chat with you about the "sunderland cup".
