Whilst in Israel, there were a number of protests and demonstrations going on in central Tel Aviv. Activists camped out in the streets; prominent messages had been scattered all around. Here are a just a few shots showing some of what I witnessed (plus a couple of randoms thrown in for good measure) ...
Lots of excellent photos Darren but the Israeli flag stands out the most for me.
ReplyDeleteI also like the second photo which demonstrates a photograph's ability to direct a viewers gaze to a particular area even if there is more to see in the picture
Thanks for your positive feedback Adam! :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting you picked out the flag. I was thinking about using it in my final four...
Go for it.
ReplyDeleteFrom a commercial point of view it is something I would have on my wall :o)
Great, thanks. Just out of interest, would you like to see this shot in colour, or do you think it works as is in B&W?
ReplyDeleteI would like to see it in colour but it does work in B&W
ReplyDeleteThis was taken in B&W but I do have another version in colour which I'll post tonight...
ReplyDeleteWow, both powerful images.
ReplyDeleteI think personally from a artistic perspective I just prefer the colour image.
From a commercial perspective I think the B&W wins as it may have an impact on more people and 'go' with more elements in people's homes.
I have had similar decisions and I intend to take my own prints of the colour images with me in case anyone prefers to purchase or view it instead
If you want me to print off the image you don't exhibit but take with you on Sunday to show people offline then let me know. I am planning on taking a few shots with me.
I should be able to print any size up to A3+ on Matte, Gloss or hopefully Canvas if I get some new material before Sunday
Adam - thanks for the feedback. I tend to agree with your comments.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea regarding taking other images to the exhibit, and thanks for the offer to print. Let's discuss this further when we meet.
See you this later,
Darren
